Anyone know of a place for iWork '08 download still? All links on Apple site go to iWork '09.Apple appears useless in helping to resolve. I was told to copy it from my old laptop to new one.good idea except that I sold the old laptop and removed the software so as not to violate software license. I cant belive i used a torrent to dl iwork 08 at 50 kbps when i can get the free trial at 300 kbps and then pop in a serial for the real deadl, lol this better not be the case with ilife 08 to lmfao:).

I agree that there is no good reason for Apple to remove the '08 link for users who bought it. It would have been much more decent if they had done so. However, neither to I see any good reason to expect them to keep it.

You downloaded it once, and you had the opportunity to make a backup of it, just like you hopefully wrote down the license number. Computers of all brands crash. Software of all kinds is pulled for different unexpected reasons from download sites of all companies.

Knowing this, one would expect the vast majority of users to make backups of their programs, so Apple did not +have to+ keep the download. I am fully aware that not all users think about making backups. It is not obvious that one has to, unless one is told to. However, it will make your life much easier, if you make one in the future.

Thnx, troels999. Bradfantin, you're confusing iLIFE 08 with iWORK 08, the latter of which requires a password (provided in these Comments). ILIFE 08 doesn't; just install and run. Once you enter the S/N, iWORK 08 works just fine.

There is one little wrinkle with iWORK 08, however: to register it ---which isn't necessary--- you need to provide Apple with an 'Mxxxx-xxx' sort of number, which is nominally found on the box. No biggie, since it doesn't interfere with the functionality of the program. Just chill, and, please, remember to seed after you d/l iLIFE 08. Hey everybody. I doh want to be a pain.
