As far as the patch goes it's available here, a fan made patch posted at the developers' website (to show you what an orphan this game is): The trick seems to be to install the patch before you arrive at the trouble spot, ideally before you even launch I'd imagine. For me the camera glitch first appeared in the Fireforge map, in the levers puzzle with Professor Twiddle, but the real game breaker is in the mosaic puzzle a bit later in the game.
